I think the biggest reason I am upset about Lin losing her bending is because that was her connection with Toph. Toph couldn’t see her daughter, couldn’t help her with clothes or make up or anything like that. But she could train her to be the best Earth bender there is. Even better than her. And now that is gone. Lin doesn’t have that connection to Toph anymore. She has lost her mother completely.
